We all have our goals. It is completely normal to work towards and for something that we want to accomplish. But, when our fear of failure is bigger than our want to succeed, we don’t do as good as we possibly can. That can and will lead to disappointment in ourselves and losing confidence in ourselves.
Confidence is everything.
You can not do anything without even a little something in our mind saying that we can get to where we want to be.
Fear of failure hinders us and attempts to squash that little voice. While it is completely okay to fear losing or fear not doing what we want – that is a good motivator to do better; it becomes a problem when the fear becomes stronger than the desire to be great.
If we focus on what we have to lose, and what could go wrong, we are only wasting moments where our brains could be focused on winning and what we have to gain.
To get further in life and in our accomplishments we can’t use up to much time being worried about the risks that come with our goals. When needed, yes – absolutely find out what could happen if it goes south so we can plan ahead and be prepared just in case it doesn’t go the way we want it to go.
Once we have our back-up-plan, we have to put it away. A back-up-plan is exactly what it is named. It is for a possible outcome that might happen. Being prepared is necessary. But, we can’t possibly think that we will need that plan; because we don’t know what will happen.
Although we don’t know what will happen, although we can’t control the future, we can control what we do now.
We can stop focusing on what could happen and start focusing on what we want to happen. Then, we work for that goal. Day and night, every and any action we do affects our future and who we are. We can use this to our advantage and use every little thing we do to shape who we want to be and where we want to go.
“In order to succeed, your desire for success must be greater than your fear of losing.”
